Laguna Niguel Stake 2021 Youth Conference Trek

ALL IS WELL

Dear Parents,

We are looking forward to being with your daughters and sons during our

upcoming Stake Youth Conference Trek.  This pioneer Trek is designed to

provide an authentic pioneer experience and place the youth in situations

where they learn through experience to appreciate what they have, who

they are, and who they can become.  They will learn about pioneers who,

at great cost, paved the way for the Gospel of Jesus Christ to thrive in our

country, and throughout the world.

Our youth will come to better understand their role in our prophet, President

Nelson’s charge to help “gather Israel on both sides of the veil.” We will also be

emphasizing the importance of the family, along with many other eternally

significant principles.

Our goal goes beyond the experience that we know they will receive while on

Trek, but extends to the changes that can occur after they return.  We hope

that their experiences will strengthen their testimonies, soften their hearts,

and give them a renewed perspective.

Our goal is for each of the youth in our Stake to spiritually prepare for Trek

by considering a challenge they are having in their life, or a question they

are struggling with and are seeking an answer to.  We want them to have

this time to pray and reflect as they seek to find answers through Hearing Him.

As families, you may want to take some time prior to Trek to study the lives

of the Saints, as well as your own ancestors.  As President Hinckley has said,

“It is good to look to the past to gain appreciation for the present and

perspective for the future.”  We are also strongly encouraging your youth to

invite their friends to participate in Trek.  Please help them prayerfully

consider who they could invite.  Our Stake’s full-time missionaries will

also be encouraging them with this.

We love your youth and are aware that they, like the pioneers, have had

to overcome many challenges this past year. But, despite the trials and

disappointments, All IS Well, and WILL be well, as they put their trust in

God and turn to the Savior.

With love,

The Laguna Niguel Stake Young Women & Young Men Presidencies
